There is so much going on in this area! I have found that so many people are busy crafting in groups and at home, and developing interests and skills they want to share.

My own interests are Painting on Silk, drawing and watercolour painting. I have dabbled with patchwork, embroidery and knitting and I have just completed a term of evening classes in pottery so the silk scarves, fabrics, wools and watercolours have been stashed away and my house is currently filled with an array of pots and bowls in the ‘beginners’ range. I wonder what will be next!

I know that sometimes it can be difficult to find supplies, or that little bit of advice to help you move on with your craft - so the team at Local Craft Matters hope that this magazine will become an important tool to enable you all to communicate with other crafters in your area – to exchange ideas and thoughts; to buy and sell equipment; to learn new skills and to find out what’s going on.

Your contributions are vital to us – click here to send in your letters and suggestions, plus details of:-

Happy Crafting to you all, and remember to keep in touch!
